　 Abstract:
　

      This paper describes the principle of a new automatic focusing system and the processing method depending on laser light wave interferogram. Out of focus information can be obtained from the  interferogram, specifically from interferenec fringes shifting. CCD transfers the optical signals and the controlling and processing are completed by a microcomputer.
