　 Abstract:
　     A thermal print head (TPH) has thousands of  thermal elements. The nonuniformity of  their resistance has great effect on the thermal printing quality of gray level images. Based on the rationale of thermal printing of gray level images, this paper proposes the correction method of  resistance nonuniformity. The implementing scheme with software and hardware are given.
