  Abstract:

A new compact full color laser printer with a non-magnetic monocomponent developing method and an intermediate transfer method has been developed.  The printer is equipped with a diode laser scanning assembly, an organic photoconductor belt (OPC belt), four color developing units by a non-magnetic monocomponent developing method, the polymer coated intermediate transfer drum, a transfer roller, and a heat-roll fuser. The printer can produce high quality color images and text on plain paper and transparencies.  In this paper, electrophotographic properties of non-magnetic monocomponent developing process and two transfer processes in the printer will be described.
