Study on double-layered photoreceptor 
of azo/ TiOPc composites

  Abstract:
        The relationship between the photoconductivity and the composition has been studied in double-layered photoreceptor device where azo/ TiOPc composite is used as charge generation material (CGM) and 4-dimethylaminobenzaldyhyde-α-naphthalenylphenylhydrazone (DENH)  is used as charge transportation material (CTM). The  results show that the azo/ TiOPc composite owns high photosensitivity not only in the visible region but also in the near-infrared and the entire optical regions. The UV/VIS spectra indicate that the absorption spectrum of azo pigment can be broadened by blending with TiOPc. The blending mechanism is investigated through X-ray diffraction and ESR.
