Proceeding of ICISH`98   Foreword

   It is our great pleasure to welcome you to The Conference on Imaging Science and Hardcopy(ICISH`98). The ICISH`98 is held on May26 to May29, 1998, at Chongqing Cygnet Plaza, Congqing, China. and it is co-sponsored by: Reprographic Scientists and Engineers Society of China (RSESC), Society of Electrophotography of Japan ( SEJP), and Society for Imaging Science and Technology of U. S. A. (IS&T).

    The ICISH`98 Proceedings is the third edition of this meeting and offers, 15 invited papers and 55 contributed paper from Japan, United states, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Vietnam, Taiwan China, Hong Kong China, and China have been submitted. Two parallel tracks have been organized. We believe that this will be a very important meeting for bringing together knowledgeable international scientists and technologists to Present latest advances in the fields of imaging and hardcopy science and technology.

　    The ICISH`98 Tdchnical Program is the result of the diligent efforts by many people. We would particularly like to appreciate the Program Committee for its excellent work in putting together this meeting, and the RSESC, SEPJ and IS&T staff for their great contribution to the administrative side.
